Learn foundational techniques to create ceramic pottery and sculpture - including coiling, pinching, slab building and slump molds. In this class, students will learn the ceramic process from modeling the clay to finishing artwork with glazes. All student work is fired on campus and all materials are provided; no prior experience necessary. On the last day of class, we will have a mini gallery where families are invited to come to the studio and view student work. For grades 7 through 12. This is a two week class consisting of 8 instruction days. There is no class meeting June 19th. Supervision between classes is not provided. Instructor: Ms. Green. Note that this class does not include the potter’s wheel.

Explore the medium of ceramic artwork under the magical theme of Harry Potter! In this class, students will create mugs for their pumpkin juice, mandrake pots, magical creature sculptures, and more. Note that some student work may need to be picked up at a later date to allow adequate time for firing the clay. For Grades 5-8. No supervision is provided for continuing classes.
