KidsU Technology Camps (Virtual)

In the digital age, every image we see is carefully crafted and edited using cutting edge tools in order to create flawless, eye-catching works of art, and in Intro to Photo Editing and Graphic design, we put those tools in the hands of our students. Here they will learn how digital artists enhance photographs, edit images, and even create original designs from scratch. Note: This camp requires a software download and an accessible email. The program is compatible with Windows, MAC, and Linux.

This is the perfect companion class to Intro to Game Design. If your student loves video games and art, then our Art in Video Games is a win-win. This course uses Stencyl, the same program used in our game design course, to teach students how to create and edit their own original characters for video games. Topics will include, animation, design, and some computer programming. Note: This camp requires a software download and an accessible email. The program is compatible with Windows, MAC, and Linux.

Expand your knowledge of game design with Intermediate to Game Design! Here students will expand on the fundamentals of creating their own 2-D games with Stencyl, and become even more familiarized with game mechanics, computer programming, design, and GUI interfaces. But, most importantly, your student will have fun games that they can continue to customize even after the camp has ended! Note: Prior knowledge of Stencyl is highly recommended; this class is a continuation of the class "Introduction to Game Design & Development". This camp requires a software download and an accessible email. The program is compatible with Windows, MAC, and Linux.

Enroll them in this class, so they can discover how to make their own masterpieces of music with Musescore, where campers will learn the basics of creating and writing music! Digital animation is the perfect way to bring stories and characters to life, and now your student can too. In Intro to Animation campers will be able to create animations on their home computer while learning the fundamentals and techniques that animators have been implementing for over 100 years. If you have a creative student with an eye for detail, this is the perfect class for them. Note: This camp requires a software download and an accessible email. The program is only compatible with Windows. Mac users can download and use Stykz 1.0 for Mac OS x.
