Spring 2025: Home School

In this course, students will develop their 2D skills by applying various elements and principles of design. They will work with a range of media for both traditional and digital pieces. In the second half of the semester, students will shift focus to creating 3D forms using diverse materials. Each project will incorporate different techniques and materials, such as clay, cardboard, and recycled items. Students can earn up to 60 hours (0.5 credit) of instructional time to meet part of their high school fine arts credit. The course offers 45 hours of face-to-face instructional time (3 hours a week for 15 weeks) and 15 hours of structured home work assignments (1 hour a week for 15 weeks). Assignment and project grades are tracked for your student via Canvas Classroom. A certificate of completion is provided for the completed hours. All materials included. Cost $350 one-time payment or 4 installments of $100. (Please contact Brandy Hebert at hebert@uhcl.edu to set up installments).

Instructor: Mrs. Hebert

Note: 6th-8th grade students are welcome to enroll, but not eligible to earn the fine arts credit. Curriculum will be adjusted for their level.
